Gender: unknown

Ritty Tacsum’s work has often dealt with the body, the self and the deconstruction of either.

The concept behind this series of images was specifically the artist’s own sexual confusion:  The constant shift of feeling both male and female; not knowing what you really are or what you really want; the need to get rid of the putrid core: fixated and irrational meticulous self-definition.

Personal confusion therefore inspired this series of images portraying both male and female body parts, layered on top of each other to represent one single queer body.
