George Micallef Eynaud
George Micallef Eynaud (b. 1990) is a young Maltese artist currently based in London, where he is completing an MA Course in Fine Arts at Camberwell College of Art. Although primarily known as a painter, Eynaud’s practice also involves video as an alternative means of creative expression and a way of further engaging the idea of the narrative. However it is the medium of paint that remains the principal focus of the artist’s recent work and a vital tool in his deconstruction of a contemporary hyper-visual culture.
George has participated in the first Mediterranean Summer Program in Malta organized by the Foundation for Architecture and Art Malta and the Mediterranean (FAAMM) in 2009.
And has shown his works in various recent exhibitions and public events including, Collective Show, A group show displaying the work of the various artists represented by Lily Agius Gallery, Sliema (11- 12/2010), Dog City, Lily Agius Gallery, (09/2011), Science and Society, Lily Agius Gallery, curated by Dr. Edward Duca as part of Malta Design Week (10/2011) and the University Of The Arts London, Camberwell MA Fine Art Group Show, Gasworks, 155 Vauxhall Street, London (20/01/2012)
